Billy the Fly
Billy the Fly
Giving birth to a big maggot was a shock for Billy’s mother,
She screamed to the midwife to throw it in the gutter,
The midwife picked it up with a shiver and a shudder,
And threw it out into the street, to be squished by people’s feet.
But Billy didn’t die, instead he grew and grew,
He feasted on stolen food and small animals he slew,
And as he got bigger, his appetite did too,
He began to hunt for prey that had more meat,
and searched quiet houses for something to eat.
